There’s nothing like spending winter afternoons on the slopes with friends. Our School & Group Programs make it easy for schools, YMCAs, homeschool groups, scouts, and community organizations to introduce children to skiing and snowboarding in a fun, active, and welcoming environment.

Whether participants are first-time skiers or experienced riders, our certified instructors provide small-group lessons that help everyone build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of winter.

 

Program Highlights

-Groups with a minimum of 15 participants

-Available to everyone grade 2 & up

-Ski and snowboard instruction for all ability levels

-No prior experience required

-Flexible 1, 4, 5, or 6-week program options

-Evening, weekday, and limited weekend sessions

-Discounted lift tickets, rentals, and lessons

-Modern skis, snowboards, and helmets available for rent

-Comfortable lodge facilities, including the Red Barn for warming up and dining

Group Coordinator & Parent Information

Planning Your Group Is Easy.

Whether you’re organizing a school, homeschool, YMCA, scout, or community group, we’re here to make planning your visit simple. Our team will guide you through every step, from scheduling your dates to welcoming your group on arrival day.

 

Program Requirements

-Participants do not need to belong to the same school or organization.

-No prior skiing or snowboarding experience is required.

-Participants must be in Grade 2 or above.

-Mount Southington staff will assist with your group’s arrival and check-in.

-Group Coordinators receive special program benefits.

 

Getting Started

Step 1

Create a Mount Southington account if you don’t already have one. 

Step 2

Complete the Group Request Form to select your preferred visit dates (1, 4, 5, or 6 weeks) and program times.

Step 3

Once your dates are confirmed, we’ll create your group and email you a unique registration link and passcode.

Step 4

Share your registration link with participants so they can register online.

Throughout the process, our Group Coordinator will work with you to confirm your details, answer questions, and help ensure a smooth arrival for your group.

 

Group Attendance & Make-Up Policy

If your group is scheduled to visit and Mount Southington is open, the group visit cannot be rescheduled.

Participants who miss a scheduled group visit should refer to our Individual Group Make-Up Policy.

If Mount Southington closes due to weather or conditions, additional information regarding make-up sessions will be provided.

Share the joy of skiing with students and friends. If you are a teacher or parent and would like to help coordinate a group of 15 or more for up to 6 weeks of after school skiing, Mount Southington will help make the process fun and easy.
