Ski Patrol/Rangers
We’re proud to say that Mount Southington Ski Area has a National Ski Patrol and Ranger Program that will make each visit to our Mountain a pleasant and safe one.
Mount Southington's Ranger Patrol or Courtesy Patrol was one of the first to be established in New England. Their mission is to maintain control and assist with skier safety on the mountain and in the base area. They are a group of 65 volunteers that help make your visit a pleasant one. You can recognize them by their bright yellow jackets.
Mount Southington's Ski Patrol is part of the National Ski Patrol. They are highly trained first aid volunteers prepared to provide rescue services in the time of need.
Mount Southington is especially proud of our Patrol. They were selected Outstanding Eastern Division Large Patrol for the 2007-08 ski season. The Eastern Division includes one hundred and seventy two patrols in eleven states from Maine to Maryland and includes Pennsylvania and New York. A hardy congratulation goes to each member!
