Meet Dave Watson

This summer, a team of experienced American skiers and climbers will attempt to climb K2, the second tallest mountain in the world, and to ski down sections of the Cesen Route. Two of those team members have climbed to the summit of Mount Everest. One of those two is Dave Watson.

Dave is a professional athlete, mountain climber and skier currently living in Minnesota. He has twice climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, most recently in 2006, when he skied down the North Ridge from 7,200 meters. He has been a rock climbing guide in New York's Shawangunk Mountains, a National Ski Patrol professional at Smuggler's Notch, and recently helped train ski patrollers in the Gulmarg region of India!

The best part of all? Dave is a native of Connecticut, and learned to ski at Mount Southington!
